Skil-Care Resident-Release Slider Belts are for residents who have tendencies to slide out of the wheelchair. Its effective design helps in slider control and two-inch wide nylon belts criss-cross over the resident lap to prevent forward sliding. The slider belt attaches to the wheelchair using the chair screws.

More Information

  • Installation to the Wheelchair: 
    - Remove the front screws from the left and right sides of the wheelchair seat.
    - With the hook-and-loop material facing up, insert the screws through the grommets on the long belt sections. Reinsert the screws into the holes in the wheelchair seat. Tighten screws
    - Behind the wheelchair, remove the screws second from the bottom on the left and right sides of the backrest. Insert the screws through the grommets on the belt sections fitted with d-rings. Reinsert the screws into the holes in the wheelchair backrest. Tighten screws.
     
  • To apply the belt: 
    Before seating resident, lock both wheelchair brakes and rotate the footrests to the out-of-the-way position.
    - Seat resident as far back on the seat as possible. Reposition the footrests and place patients feet on them.
    - Thread the belt section from the residents right side through the D-ring on residents left side. Adjust the belt to a snug fit and press the hook-and-loop closure material together. When properly applied the belt will be crisscrossed over the residents lap as shown in the illustration at the top of this sheet
