Before using Ergobaum Ergonomic Crutches

Make sure that -

  • You are correctly fitted.
  • All spring buttons are engaged and all screws are tightened.
  • The shoe(s) are in good condition.
  • Replace shoe(s) immediately if worn.
  • The cushion grip(s) are secure and do not slip.
  • Nothing is loose or uneven and there are no rattles or cracks in the metal, plastic, rubber, or any other obvious condition(s).
  • User does not have handicaps, disabilities, or is on any medication, etc. that a doctor, therapist, and/ or seller would deem to interfere with the safe usage of the product.
  • You have consulted a physician or therapist to be shown proper walking style.
  • The forearm strap is adjusted to a comfortable level of tightness to ensure that the forearm is stable.
  • The forearm cup is located 1" to 2" below the bend of the elbow.

While using Ergobaum Premium Crutches

Make sure that

  • Both crutches are adjusted to an equal height and that all spring lock buttons are properly seated.
  • Adjust each crutch so that while the user stands as upright as possible, the cushion grip(s) are at the level of the users hip joint or break of the wrist. The users elbows should bend approximately 30c and the wrists should be straight as the user grasps the cushion grip(s).
  • The users weight should be carried on the cushion grip(s) with the wrists straight.
  • The knee support pad is not meant to be used while walking. It is intended solely for the resting of one leg at a time while standing and is not meant to support an individual's entire body weight.
  • Do not subject crutch to sudden impact or jolt.

General Warnings

  • Use only as instructed by your healthcare provider.
  • Do Not exceed the maximum weight capacity for this crutch, which is 100kgs. Or 200 lbs / crutch.
  • Avoid all potential safety hazards including slippery, uneven or soft surfaces and objects in path.
  • Using crutches, including this product, does not eliminate the risk of falling.
  • Although these crutches are designed to be superior to others, always use extreme care when using this product.
  • The crutches should not be used as toys, for sports, or for any other purpose besides walking assistance.
  • The crutches should be maintained in a clean condition. Use a small amount of soap and water to clean the crutch and avoid using oils or any other slippery cleaning agents.
